“Brian Kidd said to me, ‘He’s only tiny, he’s got ginger hair - you’ll probably have a bit of a giggle. But he can’t half play,’” said Eric Harrison, former United coach. “That youth side played on a Saturday morning. We called it the Dream Team. It attracted a fair crowd and their favourite was Scholes. And remember, United fans have been brought up on players like Duncan Edwards - they’re not stupid. The standard was as good as first-team training. And the manager saw Paul and knew about him.”

20 years on, still the media-shy, modest, consumate professional who's all about football and family, peerless in perception and opening up the game with a single pass, still packs the most feared shot outside the penalty box, still ghosting into the penalty area and smacking the ball at goal with all the conviction in the world, still cant tackle but most importantly still at Manchester United.
I'm honoured I grew up being number 18, being compared to Scholes in primary school when the rest were Beckham, Yorke, Cole, Giggs.

congrats on the contract extension scholesy :)
We love Paul Scholes, He scores goals!! (8)
