First of all. Where's the picture of the kop!! And dont say it got koped. Not funnie. :p

Went to town yesterday with ah neh and eman. Shopped for christmas gifts. I seriously didnt know what to get because nothing seemed good enough. Then we watched national treasure. It's quite a good movie. a lousier version of pirates of the caribbean. yeap but full of adventure. and a little bit draggy. Went to eat with the dasses. Ah neh's mum's treat. yay.

Anyways. I think football has been influenced by the term " laters! " this week. Let me cite 4 examples.

Southampton 2 Middlesbrough 2.

Southampton were 2-0 up courtesy to goals from kevin phillips and peter crouch. and were still 2-0 up after 88 minutes of 90 minutes played. Middlesbrough then had a corner. Taken by young starlet Stewart Downing. It was curled in and southampton defender danny higginbotham headed the ball into his own net. Then in the 92nd minute Downing picked up the ball, surged forward and smashed the ball into the net. 2-2. Southampton fans left distraught.

Manchester United 1 Fulham 1.

Man united dominated the WHOLE match with roy keane hitting the right post and wayne rooney hitting the left post and so many chances squandered like free one. although i must commend Alan Smith's goal for united. his shot was blocked initially he chased down that guy. slide tackled him. got up and scored. what commitment and hard work. =) but when PAPA BOUBA DIOP ( what a name ) picked up the ball from fulham and anyhow whack. i had a sinking feeling that it would go in. and it did!! it was a perfect strike from 35 yards out. and that cost my dearest united 2 points. seriously lah and im marrying her tmr.

Liverpool 1 Portsmouth 1.

Liverpool captain Stevie G scored for them in the 70th minute but a guy with 3 Ls in his name Lomano Lua Lua had to sink liverpool with a 92nd minute goal. well done.

Even the TIGER CUP south east asia's footballing competition produced late goals.

Philippines 2 Timor Leste 1.

The timor team thought they had victory wrapped up when dey were leading 1-0 for 89 minutes. and then bam! a goal by this guy called catilog or sth. put the score to 1-1 and den a minute later, he scored again!! philippines stole the victory with 2 goals in as many minutes. sheesh.

Anyway. im gonna eat my breakfast now. and take a bath. sooo laters! =)

When people think of Anfield, they picture the Spion Kop.The Kop's members sang and cheered for their saints like no other team's supporters, making Anfield world famous with their enthusiasm, and creating a match day atmosphere that couldn't be matched at any other stadium. Kopites were known for their sportsmanship and love of the game, unlike the hooligans who plagued other terraces in the 70's and 80's. The Kop itself was a truly gargantuan structure, gloomy and fearsome to opposing players, because its immense roof covered all the spectators in its shadow, far more brooding than the other great end terraces of this era.The Kop was a symbol of Liverpool and even English football itself, and no stand has ever been so loved or so well known as Anfield's Spion Kop.

This is what happened at Anfield ( Liverpool )

On a night where Liverpool either needed at least a 1-0 win or if they conceded a goal they need to win by at least 2 goals which means 3-1 to go through to the 2nd stage of the European Champions League competition.

And they came out fighting. 1-0 to liverpool would have been enough. But they conceded early. 1-0 to the greeks it stood. You can just see the display of character on the field. The comeback spirit and desire to fight back to score 3 goals. They arent going to just sit back and lie down and let themselves be trampled upon. They were at home, the fans were still singing as they tried wave after wave of attack on the greek goal.

3 goals in 45 minutes for Liverpool. Could they do it? With xabi alonso's magnificent passing and pracitically the whole team's never tiring running to chase after the ball. It seemed plausible but for the immense bad luck that Liverpool had gotten in the 1st half. A substitution by manager rafael benitez saw young sinama go on the field and within 2 minutes he scored the goal which put Liverpool level 1-1. The game then threatened to become a fight as the greeks became desperate and hauled Liverpool players down one by one.

On the 60th minute Young striker Neil Mellor came on in place for a tiring Milan Baros and within 2 minutes again. The substitute scored to put Liverpool 2-1 ahead. What magic! This gave Liverpool a new belief as they strode forward with the fans still singing in full voice.

Liverpool pressed onn and when Neil mellor nodded the ball down to Captain Steven Gerrard, he whacked the ball with such power it went past the outstretched arms of the keeper and into the back of the net. And that was in front of the kop end. The place where the most passionate liverpool supporters stand. and as steven gerrard jumped into the crowd the commentator went " what a wonderful story! what a night! steven gerrard the captain has done it for liverpool this man here loves his football. He loves liverpool! and not how much money can prise him away from here. oh my word. " and what a strike it was too. i was on the bed and as the shot went it i shouted OH MY GOSH super loudly and jumped around. COME ON!! what character. They believed, they worked and they've got their reward.

The crowd sang " You'll never walk alone " in the closing minutes of the game. And how appropriate.

I dont support Liverpool. But how they played last nite was how any team should. with passion with heart with desire. That character that football so lacks now a days. Come ooon u lads.

I just went to God and woah what a quiet time it was! Reading all of the blogs helped me to understand what you all are going through but not really enough to empathise because indeed it's not me who's feeling hurt or ostracised. It just gave me such a sick feeling that i prayed and went to read the bible immediately trying to search for an answer.

And God showed me much more than that.

Romans 13:9 The commandments "do not commit adultery" "Do not murder" "Do not steal" "Do not covet" and whatever commandment there may be are summed up in this one rule "Love your neighbour as yourself" Love does no harm to its neighbour. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

Therefore let us stop passing judgement on one another. Instead make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in your brother's way. 19. i may not know what's going on but i do know that love is of so much importance in this world. It's love that God died to save us. it's for the love of our friends that we pray for their salvation. It should also be love for our fellow brothers and sisters in christ that keeps us going. The importance of unity within the God's church has been emphasised to me so many times. We are christians. We first love God, then we love others and then ourselves. Not that it's a simple task that can just be said and done in a simple manner but it requires constant time with God, a whole new desire to want to follow what He teaches and rightly represent God's character. Imagine what will people who visit the church will feel if God's people arent loving towards one another, always in wrath and at each other's throats? So let us just be in peace with one another for each other's good. This will be pleasing to God. After all He's the one that we worship and our lifestyle should be a life of worship too. Well i shouldnt say much about this because my own lifestyle aint perfect but i'm making a constant effort and i know all of you christians out there are too. Love. This is what seperates us from the world we are today. We can make this happen because we have God. God loves us more than anything no matter how rotten or screwed up we are.Our needs are no longer important because God has taken care of them. So let's show the love of God to others. Both the non christians and the people in church. Im absolutely sure that God has great plans for you guys as one. In fact He has for all His children but as The bible said " the hand cant say to the foot i dun need you! " and vice versa. So come on!! Dont do this because of anything else. Do it because you fear the Lord.

Well even before I went to God i've been thinking about her these few days and what makes her so special. And then i realise it's the incredible amount of love she gives to people and how she submits herself to God. Well this is an example of someone who is trying to love every one she meets and hey if she has some kind of measure of success. what makes u think u cant do it? =)

This time of reflecting and thinking has truly made me realise what a swog my cell leader is. From a girl who judges people and doesnt like to mix around with the people she doesnt like with much. A girl who looks after her own interests more than others. She's transformed now into a loving true woman of God with so much maturity. No of course she's not perfect. in fact i'm sure she still harbours thoughts of judgement and selfishness but she submits herself to God and her actions really show who God is. I for one have sinned against her with my selfish desires but she refuses to just cast me aside. I'm her cell member and a friend and more importantly a brother in Christ. That's how important unity in the body is to her. She refuses to allow me to stay away from her with screwed up feelings about us. In cell there are people whom she's never really mixed with last time nor she doesnt understand but she makes the effort to make them feel welcome. And this coming from one out of the 2 girls in a cell of 11 people! Now our cell feels the most homely ever. When the guys talk about soccer she doesnt noe a thing but she encourages us and says " hey good job " when we sometimes brag bout our goals and stuff. Even when she's done with a flu and a sore throat she stayed up during the sleepover to help my friend do something. There's a good example of someone really really trying to please God. Honouring Him in all she does.

haahhahaha ohkay. i know i've said this a million and one times but ivan is damn stupid. :p the debbie episode yesterday was seriously one that brought a little bit of interest to this no life boring holiday of mine. Well today's not bad too..

today the neubronites went out cos bryan koh came back from australia. This time though he'll be staying for 2 years and will be doing his ns. hmm. muscular and brawny bryan. sounds nice. Anyway every one still calls him short man even though he's grown so tall now. Glad you're back man i really missed you. =)

First we went to cine to play pool where they were playing this techno music and benja, josh and ah neh were laughing at it and shouting at the top of their voices " wah this music is very nice ah! " and benja was swearing like no one's business. actually me too. oh well. i was playin really badly at pool so i slammed the cue right into benja's toe by accident. i was so pissed throughout the whole game it totally spoiled my mood but never mind.

Then ivan and fatty yong joined us and we strutted down to far east to play lan. hahahaha at first we wanted to play cs but the cd key screwed up or something and fatty yong being fatty yong kept disturbing the geeky lan shop guy and whacking the com monitor. we were shouting at the top of our voices how the lan shop sucked and benja was fooling around with the mouse and keyboards. whahaahha basically we just shouted a lot of stuff and disturbed the peace :D

after that we headed down to the bk at borders to eat. or rather to kope. ahahahahha u shld have seen how fast my whole packet of fries disappeared as one hand reached for it one after another. wahhahahaha. anyways we started taking pictures and we took one of ivan and then zoomed in on his pimple HAHAHAHAHAHA it was super funnie lah one white spot there on an oily surface. well we talked all sorts of neubroknightish stuff and took chairs from other tables and just huddled around. finally decided to take a neubronite photo =)

had fun insulting both sly and taufik on the bus as singapore idol was being shown on tv mobile. Got home and was thinkin about some stuff. Had a great talk with you sweetie =)
